Discount Tire Company. I got a nail in the sidewall of one of my brand new tires, which is not a repairable problem. They replaced the tire for free. Plus, because I made an appointment, they really did take care of me ahead of the people who just stopped in and had been there for three hours or more. They're the guys who got me the great deal too. Shop there. They take care of you.
NOH Chinese Barbecue (Char Siu) Marinade. It's a pale pink powder in a packet that turns dark pink when you add water. Once you've marinated the pork in it and roast it, the pork turns that unmistakeable deep red, is incredibly tasty, and is ready for almost any culinary application you can think of. Tonight was a stir fry. Mmmm. Their slogan says it all: "Just say YES to NOH."
Java Logs. They're processed fire logs made out of spent coffee grounds. They burn incredibly clean, leave almost no ash at all, and have a faintly sweet scent. Available at Whole Foods. They also burn for 2 hours, so it's not a big time commitment. So nice.
Pirates ofthe Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest has a trailer out. I really think I just saw a Cthulhu pirate. Like, Cthulhu AS a pirate. Um, holy shit.
Kittens. They are warm, fuzzy, and purr. They are particularly good after a long, long, commute. When it's cold out. Purrrrr.
