I couldn't get good pix of the thermometer in situ, so I took readings and will notate them here. I used an electronic thermometer, and ensured that the probe touched only the water, not the vessel.

Well, knock me over with a feather.

I'll measure again when I get home tonight. And since the readings are a bit of a surprise, I am going to go home tonight, swap locations for the vessels, and measure again tomorrow morning.

More results tomorrow.

Whee, science!

Got home from work. Results should vary now, right? After all, they've been in there, unmolested for 24 hours now.

Lessee.

I've moved them about, and we'll see what happens in the morning.
