We got to see Ian McShane on Bill Maher over the weekend, and DAMN the man is amazing. He consistently knew more about every situation than any of the guests, and often Maher himself. When asked how he knew some obscure factoid, he replied, "I read the paper." It was a gorgeous little bit of disbelief and chiding to a group (nation) that doesn't know its own goings on as well as a visitor does. (And OH what a nice accent that visitor has.)
