It's as good as canon, folks: Dumbledore was gay.

From JKR's own lips.

Gay: confirmed. Crazy about Grindelwald: confirmed. Lived a lifetime of regret over having been misled by love: confirmed. Trifecta!

Let the 19th century slash commence in earnest!

WTF: The post-Deathly Hallows mpreg has already begun to flow. *sob*

Oh Dear: I don't think I've ever posted a link to this wonderful fic, and I should have. I used to love this wee young Fred Weasley story, but in the wake of Deathly Hallows, it's taken on a whole new meaning. An incredibly poignant one.

"Changeling" by LydiaBennett

Summary: Fred wants a dog, and he'll do anything to get one. Anything at all.

Not only were they tasty, they appear to possess some kind of magical cat-attracting quality.

Emma was the first to discover that the scent of them drove her mad, and she nearly accosted me to get some. Once she acquired it, she gobbled it down and came back for more.

Bear just swung by and howled for some for himself, and ate what I gave him. This is not a peoplefood cat, mind. pumpkin pie a natural cat food, or are my babies actually Kneazles?

Possibly part one, depending on how much I've forgotten. I can't believe I can't get the Stephen Fry audiobook right away, so I can listen to it in the car for the next couple of weeks, and pick up everything I missed. :-(

In all, I loved the book. I'd wanted to take it slow and savor it over the weekend, but I just couldn't do it. I could have done without the Epilogue, but, well, you can't have everything.

My thoughts are totally random and don't appear in any rational order. )

Thank you to those who took the Unbreakable Vow.

I've been thinking about who dies in this book, and I hate to have to admit it has me scared. And I'm not liking where the thoughts are taking me. )

On a lighter note, I have my menu planned for Saturday. It will consist of:
1. Homemade shepherd's pie
2. Homemade pumpkin pasties
3. Butterbeer.

I found #3 at Mars Cheese Castle, and after one taste, I knew this was the thing. I went back last night for some more, so I'll have something insanely unhealthy to sip upon while I read. Behold the glory of what tastes to me like the perfect butterbeer:

It is precisely half butterscotch soda and half root beer. OMGSOGOOD.

I will wear my Sparklypoo shirt and have my last hurrah before finally becoming an adult.

Bye, Harry. I will miss you.

"Goodbye, Harry," a column from EW.

Thank you, Stephen. This is my issue exactly.

"No ending can be right, because it shouldn't be over at all. The magic is not supposed to go away."

Pun intended.

Saw HP:OotP at the IMAX in 3D last night. Real review later. For now, all I will say is:

Lucius Malfoy.

In 3D.

A quick and dirty (and hopefully inaccurate) story about the beginning of filming for The Order of the Phoenix.

Imelda Staunton as Dolores Umbridge: YAY!
Unknown as Luna: YAY!

But, erm, this?

Potter also wrestles with his attraction to new character Luna Lovegood, a role taken by 14-year-old newcomer Evanna Lynch.

What the huh?

If you've read The Half-Blood Prince or don't mind being ever so slightly spoiled, click here and behold the delight of glorious faux chatlogs. Should be of particular interest to those sick to the teeth of the Harry/Hermione OMG OTP JKR U SUCK wankfests.
